Appalachian Black Bear is a somewhat fictional wild black bear species that appears in Squidbillies. They appear exclusively in the episode "Hetero-Cephalo Agenda".
History[]
Three Appalachian Black Bears appear in the said episode, with two of them as a father, and his daughter. After Early protests gay marriage, throughout the episode, and pretending that he married a paint can, vacuum cleaner, and a hotdog, he found. Dan Halen forced him to marry one of the species as it would be something insane, and would get on television in a massive pride parade through downtown Dougal County, where he would exchange vows with the beast of the forest. Dan wanted it to double his sales (unfortunately will still lose some customers) with "The Rotund Jesus Freaks". Who will all unite in a brainless effort to support them with a net gain of slightly more since he is promoting family values for families.
A Appalachian Black Bear's father appears in the "Straight Pride" parade, chained up on a float in order for Early to exchange the bear's paw in marriage, but it does fail. Despite this, a wedding happens between the daughter of that Appalachian Black Bear, and Early at Chicken On The Cross, with some citizens of Dougal County, and a bear audience.
While Early kisses the bear, but after some complaining from Early, the bear's daughter then ripped off his face, causing a massive bear attack between the wedding attendees, and the bear audience, (with exceptions of Dan, and the Reverend), some people like Glenn were killed, and attacked by the bears.
Despite being attacked, they became a happily married couple, as shown on a television from Dan Halen. The daughter is shown in the hospital busting through the door, and wanders the room to attack, and later kills Early, and after she rip his face healing in the hospital bed, after Sheriff opened the door for her.
Also a another black beer is shown trying hunt down a chef on a tree with objects hanging various foods for the wedding.
A similar black bear appeared in "The Guzzle Bumpkin" and attacked Rusty during his "Guzzle Bumpkin" challenge.
Behavior[]
Similar to normal Grizzly Bears, and America Black Bears, these bears have unpredictable behaviors as their are shown to be aggressive towards other species such as Humans, and the Appalachian Mud Squid for survival. Their aggressive behavior as shown with the father, and daughter, as they both attacked Early due to their normal behavior. The father also throw Early off the parade float, and destroyed a green chair on the float.
Abilities[]
While the Appalachian Black Bear communicates normally, according to Rusty, they have the ability to run up 40 miles an hour, and use their dangerous teeth to attack their prey to rip them. Also along with a gray bear, they are also shown to speak in yellow subtitles chatting about the marriage between a bear, and a squid. The gray bear then spoke about that there is salmon inside the people, with two bears deciding to tear open the bodies, and check.
Appearances[]
- "Hetero-Cephalo Agenda" (debut)

Trivia[]
- This species is based off the real-world "American Black Bear" which does live in Appalachia. However these bears are less aggressive compared to Grizzly Bears, and this species.
