  • While Pompidov speaks in the episode, however he is only heard on Granny's radio. It is implied that he died from a truck crash.
  • Bobby Ellerbee, who is the voice of Sheriff doesn't play him in this episode. However Sheriff is shown making sounds, and making his mouth in his only appearance during a scene, where in the library. The Sheriff is seen arresting Granny for looking up on Facebook, presumably Russell's great grandpappy or Pompidov on the computer.
  • This episode contains themes of slavery, and Granny telling Russell about his great grand-grandpappy.
  • The African slaves are revealed to pick up cotton during the past.
  • The female blue bird from the previous episode "Anabolic-bolic" makes a small cameo during a flashback.
  • This episode shows that Dan Halen is riding a horse, and has a whip, while Dr. Julius Erving is shown riding a dark brown horse.
  • Granny's flashbacks take place when whites, and blacks were separated, and the whites were able to drink at drinking fountains if the sign said "whites", while a sign "others" means that non white people like the black's can drink the water there.
  • Russell's great grandpappy like his decals, and banners, as he put them on water fountains, bathrooms, and buses, he was a world-class organizer, though this could not be real.
  • Granny before she was strayed by a man with a hose next to a water fountain, she was wearing a small blue bikini.
  • Lil mentions that his granddaddy was a fat, stupid, thieving, hair-as-crap butt grabber who wrote rubber checks to prostitutes. She also misses her people.
  • General Sherman is mentioned by Granny to Russell soon Russell mentioned that there Yankee's now, and soon to mentioned they won a war with Early replying at the end "take that South we won the damn war baby!".
