Trivia[]

  • This is the third and final episode of the show to celebrate the Fourth of July, with the previous episodes being "Earth Worst" and "The War on The War on Christmas" respectively.
  • Some clips of this episode were originally used in the Season 13 trailer.
  • When a Stripper is dancing for Leroy, the latter says that he can appreciate her trying, and calls her a "Blondie."
  • This episode reveals that Leroy got half of his ding-a-ling blown off in Da Nang, and that he is a Veteran, he also gets a free Veterans only dance at The Jiggle Hut, which is not for Early.
  • Ellis gives Leroy a drink, Leroy asks him how much that he owes him, Ellis stated that his money is no good here, and he then thanks him for his service with a salute.
  • When Early claimed that was a veterinarian too, Ellis then stated that usually a veteran of foreign wars will pronounce it "veteran" and not "veterinarian." Early then stated that he weren't there and states that he don't know. Early then mentions that he would show his Military ID, but he lost it, like his mind, in the jungles of Saigon. Leroy told him that he seemed a little young for Nam, Early stated that because the war took years of his life, and only now at this moment, he can really talk about it, especially if free party liquor's involved.
  • Early then salutes Ellis, which the latter tells someone offscreen to get free party liquor over here, which would be a brown party liquor for a veteran, which Early claimed to be. Early then sees this as he ain't a piece of shit. Early states that it was all of those wars that he did that made him drink, steal, and fight, and not want to work done. The stripper then thanks Early and shows him her breasts, and then Early states that he love them "meat bags." He also lights firecrackers and holds two small American flags.
  • The motorcycle group that Sharif, Leroy, and Glenn are apart of is called the Wounded Warriors, Sharif told the men to "rev their engines, so their fallen brothers can hear them all the way up to Heaven". Early, who faked veteran status, joins the Wounded Warriors, with Early riding on Leroy, as a new brother in-arms for the group. Sheriff then said "damn" because he had no idea that he served, Early then stated that neither Ellis at the strip club, he means a "damn" hero shouldn't have to pay for drinks and to see tits. Sharif then tells him that "it's" sad how "this" county treats "our" veterans, also claiming its "shameful", really.
  • Sharif then salutes and thanks Early for his service, but Early thanks him for his service with a salute, Leroy and Glenn also thank them for their service with their own salutes, Early gives them all a "You're Welcome", and thanks him for his service again, Sharif then salutes again and also thanks him again, Early says one last "thank you, too", Denny then salutes by using both hands, while saying "Yeah, thank everyone for everybody's service", Sharif, Glenn, Early, and Leroy all then say "You're Welcome" to him. Also two members of the Wounded Warriors also salute to him. Denny then mentions "Except" or Early, because Denny didn't think he served at all.
  • Sharif tells Early, as a soldier, that he would be honored to have Early as a wingman for their ride today, instead of Denny, who wanted to ride to but he told me that he couldn't, Sharif tells "sorry" to Denny, since he didn't serve like them. Sharif then mentions that he left two of his toes in Desert Storm, by pointing two of his fingers up, which Denny heard before and says the same old "Thank you for you're service." Sharif then explains that why he walks sideways like a crab, which is very ironic for Sharif, due to him originally having only one walking animation when the series first started.
    • Despite Denny technically being a clone of the Sheriff, Sharif mentions that its not his fault that the army rejected Denny for having pontoon foot. Denny then states that Early has eight legs, despite his character animation having at least seven tentacles, claiming "Ain't no way he served", Early then explains that he is lucky that his jacked-up foot kept him out of this "sh*t", then says that some gave all, and well some gave excuses, which he guess.
  • When leaving, via motorcycles, Sharif tells Denny to mind the store, before the Wounded Warriors need to taste the wind, then saying the phrase "Yee-haw!", Early yells "Whoo!", "Yeah, baby!", while they drive away from the streets of Dougal County's town.
  • When Bobby in a aisle in Ballmart, glaring at Early, while the latter salutes to him, who took out of a medal helmet from a war game called "War 4 Monger", him and his nametag are horizontal.
    • The next scene shows Early and Sheriff holding their hands together when the latter is driving the motorcycle, also Early says "Whoo, yeah!" when riding as Sheriff's wingman.
  • African makes a small appearance in the episode where Early salutes to him, while the man moves back away from him a few times, until he salutes to him.
  • At the Abraham Ink'n Tattoo Shop, a Tattoo Artist drew a tattoo of a bald eagle carrying a shotgun, that says "I'm a War Hero" on it, next to his Early's ass.
  • The Waffle Barn from the episodes "Greener Pastor" and "Dove In An Iron Cage", is seen again, where Early and waiter are at, where the latter gives Early a bill for the waffle that he just ate, as a veteran, as part of the "Tell the cashier that you served in the Corps" line in the lyrics.
    • Early's bill then shows up on the screen and on it, he gotten over three beers that were 6.00 dollars and the waffle was 4.50 dollars, the total was 28.50, but a 8 was written on it, in red, Early also crossed out the 28.50 to a 26.00.
  • This episode reveals that the interior of Boyd's old Convenience Store was turned into a Halloween store, Tammi also works the store, which is obviously her new and current job. Two costumes of a sexy soldier and a toddler-sized costume, which the latter says "Li'l G.I.", on it with a picture of Macho Man Randy Cuyler dressed as a soldier on it, is seen.
  • When Early comes out of the door, he says "Ten-hut!", Granny and Denny are seen at a table, with cups of tea, as the former told him "Sir, yes, sir!", Early then asks "what the hell" Denny was doing at the house and at the table. Granny mentioned that Denny was just asking her if about Early's time in the service. Denny questions Early by stating that he didn't see a purple heart badge on Early's outfit yesterday. Early explains the fake badges, the Purple Heart, Yellow Moon, Green Clover, and Blue Diamonds, the Battle of Endor. One of his medals was also the badge of Zombie Uprising, War 4 Monger, from the video game. Denny even states that the badge is from a video game.
  • The cellphone with the Pear logo, in reference to the Apple logo, from the episodes "There's Sucker Porn Every Minute" and "One Man Banned" is seen again, when Denny is getting a close-up of Early's fake medals, via cellphone.
    • After Denny sees and mentions Early's War 4 Monger badge, Early stated "Whoa, you'll trigger my STD, now", Denny mentions "stolen valor!" at least two times, and Early claimed that he was having a "traumatic flashdance", Granny then asks "what kind of person comes in here questioning a military venetian?", which the latter claims that his son is a "War Hero", and tells him to look at his tattoo. Early told Denny to look at the tattoo and he reveals his "War Hero" tattoo, near his ass crack, Early's mother then claims that there's more "patriotism" in Early's ass crack, than there is his whole cowardly body.
  • Early would say run-along, but the only place he is running with Denny's pontoon foot is to your doctor to get a medical excuse so he don't have to serve, Early and Granny follow him out. Granny says "get out of my home!" and Early told Denny to "Retreat from my sight", by stating it was a military term for "go away", Denny, about to drive away, gets into Shairf's cop car and tells Early that his stolen valor ain't going away. He states that his problems are just te beginning, and calls him "hoss." Granny then tells Early that she did hear something about a veteran discount, Early told her "Yeah", but stated it ain't for everybody. As they're are only for people who say they're Vulcans, with Granny mentioning that it was a good thing that his son is a Vulcan, while she takes off the American flag sticker off and puts it back on the shoulder of his outfit, because mama wants her some shoes, two for her feet, and one for tentacle which he calls a "whatever this thing hanging in the middle is."
  • At Ballmart, Granny has shoes for her feet, her tentacle, and a one for her head, with a yellow object clipping her head, then states "Oh, finally" to "arch suppo", "Hello" to comfort, says "goodbye" to ringworm, Sharif then asks her "Well, look who's buying some shoes", Sharif then stated that he was having trouble finding shoes of his size, because they know, he lost a couple of toes. Early calls this "Toes in Desert Storm", and states that "we know, we know." He then tells him to get off the cross already, they need the wood.
  • Leroy then asks Early that he knows The VFW Fourth of July parade, which he thinks is the parade that celebrates his sacrifice, and thank him for his service, "Yes" he does. Sharif then tells him that this year, they want him to drop in on Main Street from 1,000 feet up, waving the biggest American flag he has ever seen. Early then asks drop in, not knowing what he mean, like with a parachute, which was correct, Leroy mentions that was a ranger. Early says "Yeah.", "Well, hell yeah", he then means, by talking to his fake badges, Green Beret, Ranger, Navy SEAL, and the Air Force Aquaman, he was all of it. Early then lies that it has been a while since he jumped out of a plane, stating "That's all".
  • The screen then pans to Denny, who is trying on shoes of his size, mentioning Early as a "Guy like you with a thousand jumps under his belt?", and states "Hell, that ought to be a walk in the park", Early mentions "And it is, but it's sad for you because nobody let you jump out of a plane, would they", and calls him "Pontoon foot", also calling it a "Freaky-ass foot", Denny then stated that they don't need him when they got a veteran war hero of every foreign war ever fought by man, asking him "Ain't that what you said?", "Or is that a lie, now?", Early groans, who yells "god damn it", as he would gas up the jet, and says "God bless America" by holding a small American flag.
  • At the Fourth of July parade, a firetruck, a wooden boat, with Ballmart on it, with someone dressed as Christian Columbus and other dressed as his soldiers, while holding a American flag, are seen, Bobby, is even part of the parade, Rusty asks anyone if his daddy is going to jump out of a plane, Granny tells him that he made his bed, and tells everyone to let them find the Gold Star family seats.
  • Ellis drives the plane, that Early is presumably gonna jump out of, who asks "How's it going back there, Admiral?", Early asked him how about he just fly low and he could wave at everybody from in here, he thinks people would appreciate that a lot more, if he knows, get like a big wave from the hero. Ellis tells him "Come on, man", since they're over at the jump zone. Early then states that he wants to jump as he really wants to do, but he can't do it right now, his heel spur is acting up, Early presses one of his and red, blue, and white spray, comes out of his left shoe, via stray paint next to his shoes, into and out of the helicopter, Ellis couldn't see now because of the spray paint, then repeats "Mayday", "Mayday", as the plane losing control, Ellis then heads to Early to try to push him, because he was going to jump out, while he mentioned "God damn it, I knew those stories were bullsh*t", because he gave him free drinks, and half price on lap dances, Early parachute then reveals itself to be a American flag, which gets cluttered into the plane's turbines, and Early and Ellis get cluttered into the parachute, which the plane then crashes. People also gasp when the plane crashes down, Rusty is also shocked.
    • Granny then mentions "Hell, they got some cheap fireworks this year."
  • After the plane crashes, Sharif says "Wounded Warriors to the hogs!" and tells if Denny is with him and the motorcycle group, referred to as "us", Denny said that he didn't know, since he never served, and Sharif mentions "Damn", since he has to got to kiss ass, and "don't I?" as he said, the latter claims that Denny is the best tracker he has got, and needs him on the front line, also calling him a "soldier", and claims that Early needs him too. After some silence, Sharif told him that he could let him in the sidecar, Denny is alright with this, but mentions a "god damn it", and enters the sidecar but his foot doesn't fit in, Sharif told him to just hang his foot off to the side, while they drive away to the crashed plane.
  • It's revealed that Early and Ellis survived the crash, but the latter is injured from the said crash, and the former, hanging from the parachute, states "help!" because he is scared of falling off, and stating that his extensive military training did not prepare him for this.
  • On the surface, Denny, Sharif, Glenn, and Leroy look down below, with the former stating that they're gonna rappel down, but Sharif states that he doesn't see any toilets down there that need cleaning.
  • When Denny stated if Sharif served, he did of course because he was a specialist in latrine duty, who chuckles at this, saying that he spelled "duty" in the letters of "d", "o", "o", "d", "y", also leading to Denny questioning him losing toes and swabbing toilets, but Sharif stated that some of "us" don't like to talk about "our" service. Sharif then mentioned that he shot off his toes by himself, when Denny asked how the officer lose his toes, as he didn't want "them" to send him to the front, questioning "Who the hall" that Desert Storm was gonna last 100 hours.
  • Denny asked Glenn that he called this rope a double finger eight, that Glenn think it would worked, Denny thought he was a G.I., which he is, but is revealed to be a gastrointestinal patient, which questions Denny if he didn't serve neither, but Sharif said that he served a least, but he just didn't do it with much honor.
  • Denny then states "alright" as it was him and Leroy, as he hopes that the "V" on his chest stands for "Vietnam", but Leroy stated that the "V" stands for "Vancouver." Denny mentions that he was a draft dodger, only till Vietnam was over, as he didn't know what all the fuss was about. Denny then asks about his legs, but Leroy mentions that he was draining syrup from a maple tree, and it fell on his spine, Denny then questions when did he start talking in that accent. Glenn asks what they're doing, as he said as he is a G.I., so if he strain his pants could go "FUBAR", front, underside, back all ruined. Denny then just sit his ass down, by kicking him, and be an anchor, and puts the rope onto him.
    • Leroy mispronounces his name as "DSoenny."
  • Denny told Leroy to rub his maple syrup on Sharif's hands, to make them sticky, and he has to take the rope up the hill, as it was too narrow for the rest of them, Sharif was gonna have to use his crabwalk between the trees, leading to Denny roping down save Early and Ellis. The former tells him "thank god", and the latter wakes up states his "help!" to him, but Early states "soldiers" and then "Navy Seal Aquamans" first while stepping onto Ellis. Early had to admit it, and go ahead and say it into his phone that he never served, which Early meant the he'll say it if that what he wanted him to say, but will all know the real truth, "don't we?", and would any "damn" thing he would want, when Denny tells Sharif to bring him up on the rope, Early gets on it, to tell Denny what to say and he'll say it, just to get him the "hell" out of there.
  • Ellis' injury in this episode was taken from "Atone Deaf."
  • Sharif speaks through a microphone, for feedback, with a large crowd, stating that there are many heroes standing here today, asking many questions as;
    • "Should we be thanked for our service", as a absolutely,
    • "Should they be challenged or asked probing questions about the details that possibly don't add up?", which he doesn't think so.
    • Sharif then states that one true hero among them stands out, and it's Denny, instead of Early, which Sharif tells to step back. Denny then gets a totally made-up award that they just came up with, he says unto Denny, asking him "are we cool?", which was the War Monger 4, from the video game, Early told him to not rock the boat, mentioning "Shiny medals". Glenn and Leroy are saluting, at the same time, with the latter mentioning "We all get to be heroes now", Glenn told Early to not be "ungrateful", man.
  • Denny then said that he wanted the leather vest like Sharif got, Early said three "no's", to him as leather vests are for military heroes only, as he can see that he is a decorated vegetarian, while showing his War Hero tattoo near his ass crack, to welcome for his service, for "y'all". Denny then turns a video that is played onto the big screen of Early mentioning that he lied and never served, as that's what Denny wanted to hear, Early states this as "lies!, all lies!", with people starting to complain and saying "boo!" offscreen, Early also asks Denny in the video that if it makes the latter feel like a big man, and if that does make him feel tough, Early lies as he stated it was a deep fake, as they did a deep fake on him.
  • Granny stated "Well, that our cue", when she leaves after hearing about Early, in the video, lying that he never served, and states she is still keeping the "damn" shoes though. Rusty leaves at the same time.
  • Since Early isn't ain't going to hear his lies, he "Retreats!", and does "Stealth mode!", does "Extraction!", and knocks over the big screen, and told everyone that big man made him say it, and asks "I mean, who's really at fault here, huh, who?".
  • This episode doesn't have a usual credit sequence, making it the very first episode of the season to not have series' usual credit sequence.
