TheRapist is a minor character in Squidbillies.
Description[]
TheRapist, as said on his door sign was actually a rapist not a therapist. Sheriff and Early Cuyler misunderstood the sign and thought the sign read Therapist. He has a tone an attitude similar to that of the Comedy Central cartoon character Dr. Katz, he also proves to have therapy skills which he used in an attempt to solve Early and Sheriff's problems.
In the episode "Holodeck Redneck", his role is replaced by a similar therapist called the "Holodeck Therapist", who has the same voice actor and therapist room (even sitting in the same chair) as him but his design is completely original and has a different personality.
Appearances[]
- "Government Brain Voodoo Trouble" (Only Appearance)
Trivia[]
- His name is a pun on "therapist", as the words "the" and "rapist" are placed in the word.
- TheRapist bears a strong resemblance to Early's co-worker Glenn with an identical character design. However he is voiced by Jonathan Katz instead of Dave Willis. Its unknown if he is a clone of Glenn or not.
- A possible reason why he reuses Glenn's character design instead of using an original one is because due to limited animation present in the show's first two seasons and its possible that making a new character model for him would be too expensive for the episode.
- The Holodeck Therapist ironically has a original character design, though its unclear if the two are the same person, or have ever met each other.
