Thou Shale Not Drill, is the seventh episode of the eighth season of Squidbillies, it first aired on September 29, 2013 on [Adult Swim].

Plot[]

The squids have a nuanced and well thought out debate on the controversial practice of fracture mining.

  • This is the second half-hour episode, first being "America: Why I Love Her".
  • The audience in the stadium are recycled from previous episodes, "Double Truckin' the Tricky Two", "Webnecks", "Condition: Demolition!", "The Appalachian Mud Squid: Darwin's Dilemma", "The Okaleechee Dam Jam", "Anabolic-holic" & "Lean Green Touchdown Makifying Machine".
    • This is also the first time since Season 5, where the stadium is officially used again.
  • Apparently most of the audience is seen getting spray with ketchup & Mustard.
  • The Man holding the baby from previous episodes is seen in that audience.
  • One scene features Dan Halen threatening the town to upgrade to the next level cable system or he'll drop a baby from the top of his building. In his defense, the baby was Chinese.
  • The fish Rusty and P-Nut capture from a lake resembles a Catfish.
  • Galactacon is used throughout this episode, hats of Galactagon are seen, as it was used on a truck to drill a giant hole in the ground, this was used to Drill out the The Red-Whisked Shalemander.
  • P-Nut seems to be attracted to Lil, has a relationship with her throughout the episode, later Lil goes P-Nut to a motel to have sex with him, they eventually get married.
  • Flashbacks from "The Legend of Kid Squid", "Ballmart", "Keeping It in the Family Way" & "Trucked Up 2: Glenn's Revenge" are seen on monitors.
    • Also Tammi & Ellis appear on those monitors thanks to stock footage from "Keeping It in the Family Way" & "The Legend of Kid Squid".
    • Also this episode is the only appearance of Ellis in the eighth season of Squidbillies.
  • "The Red-Whisked Shalemander" is a book Rusty, P-Nut & Sheriff read, the word Shalemander is based off the animal species Salamander.
